SEON Partners With Exist Software Labs on Philippines Fraud and AML

SEON, the AI-powered fraud prevention and anti-money laundering (AML) compliance platform, has announced a strategic partnership with Philippines-based Exist Software Labs to expand access to its risk intelligence and compliance technology across Southeast Asia. The deal, announced on September 2, 2026, enables Exist’s banking, fintech, payments, e-commerce and iGaming clients to deploy SEON’s full suite of fraud detection, identity verification and AML monitoring tools with local systems integration support.

Partnership scope and strategic rationale

The collaboration is designed to address rising fraud and compliance pressures in the Philippines, one of Southeast Asia’s fastest-growing digital financial services markets. As more transactions migrate online, organizations face heightened exposure to sophisticated fraud schemes alongside stricter regulatory expectations for real-time monitoring and customer due diligence.

Through the agreement, Exist Software Labs will offer SEON’s platform to its enterprise and mid-market clients, providing engineering and integration services to embed the technology within existing technology stacks rather than requiring standalone deployments. SEON’s capabilities available via the partnership include fraud detection and risk scoring, customer and payment screening, AML transaction monitoring, identity verification, case management and regulatory reporting.

Troy Nyi Nyi, Senior Vice President and General Manager for APAC at SEON, said: “Fraud and financial crime keep growing more sophisticated, but most organizations are still trying to manage that risk across tools that were never designed to work together.” He added that combining Exist’s engineering and integration expertise with SEON’s real-time fraud prevention and AML technology would help organizations in the Philippines and across Southeast Asia “bring those signals into a single view and act on them faster.

Sir Jonas Lim, Vice President for Technology at Exist Software Labs, said the partnership expands the capabilities Exist can bring to clients by “combining advanced fraud prevention and AML technology with Exist’s expertise in software development, systems integration and digital transformation.” “Together, we aim to help organizations gain better visibility into risk and take more informed action,” Lim added.

Regulatory and market context in the Philippines

The partnership arrives amid accelerating digitisation of retail payments and tightening fraud management requirements set by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP). BSP data shows digital channels accounted for 64.69% of Philippine retail transaction volume in 2025, up from 57.45% in 2024, with the central bank recording about 3.94 billion digital transactions out of 6.09 billion retail transactions during the year.

Under BSP Circular No. 1213, supervised financial institutions must implement automated, real-time systems capable of identifying and blocking disputed, suspicious or fraudulent online transactions. Institutions offering advanced electronic payment and financial services and handling an average monthly network transaction value of at least PHP75 million over the previous six months are required to maintain a fraud management system. Required controls include transaction-velocity checks, monitoring changes to devices and account information, geolocation monitoring, blacklist screening and detection of behavioural anomalies.

Law enforcement data underscores the scale of the challenge. The Philippine National Police Anti-Cybercrime Group recorded 311 investment scam cases from January 1 to December 31, 2025, including 12 cases involving cryptocurrency schemes. These trends have increased demand for integrated fraud and AML solutions that can support both front-end risk decisioning and back-office compliance workflows.

Technology integration and target sectors

SEON’s platform is marketed as an “AI command center” for real-time fraud prevention and AML compliance, leveraging more than 1,100 real-time, first-party data signals to enrich customer profiles, flag suspicious behaviour and streamline compliance workflows. Its AI capabilities are used to detect hidden fraud networks, build rules, visualise data and draft regulatory reports, while teams can also connect their own AI tools directly to SEON’s risk data through secure integrations.

Exist’s role in the partnership centres on integrating these functions into clients’ existing systems, drawing on two decades of custom software development, digital transformation, cloud, data and enterprise technology work. The combined offering is positioned for sectors where digital transactions, customer onboarding and financial activity require stronger fraud prevention and compliance capabilities, including:

  • Banking and financial services
  • Fintech and digital financial services
  • Payments
  • E-commerce and online marketplaces
  • iGaming and other transaction-intensive businesses

For banking and financial services organisations, the partnership strengthens Exist’s existing Digital Trust and Regulatory Compliance portfolio; for other industries, it expands available technology to address fraud, suspicious activity, customer risk and financial crime concerns.

Company backgrounds

Exist Software Labs is a Manila-based technology solutions provider specialising in custom software development, digital transformation, cloud, data and enterprise technology solutions. For more than 20 years, Exist has helped organisations across industries build, modernise, integrate and manage technology solutions that support evolving business and customer needs.

SEON, headquartered in Austin, Texas, with offices in London, Budapest and Singapore, describes itself as the AI command center for real-time fraud prevention and AML compliance, helping thousands of companies worldwide stop fraud, reduce risk and protect revenue. The company was founded by Tamás Kádár and Bence Jendruszák after they experienced relentless fraud attacks while running a cryptocurrency startup, and has since grown into a global provider of integrated fraud and AML capabilities.

Implications for regional compliance and fraud prevention

By pairing SEON’s fraud and AML technology with Exist’s local integration capabilities, the partnership aims to reduce time-to-value for Philippine and Southeast Asian organisations seeking to meet BSP fraud management rules while improving detection of online scams and payment fraud. The integrated approach is intended to give compliance and risk teams greater context around potentially suspicious activity by bringing together relevant risk signals, transaction behaviour and screening data in a single view.

The announcement also aligns with SEON’s broader push into Asia-Pacific, following the launch of its global Partner Program in February 2026 to enable integration, resale and scaling of its fraud intelligence platform through local partners.
